A Private Dinner hosted on behalf of the Justin Turner Foundation

As a finale to our very busy January, Bianchi Productions had the honor of designing and producing an event at our client's private estate, benefiting the Justin Turner Foundation. The evening, hosted by Justin and his beautiful wife Kourtney (along with my client's and their partners), was a thank you to sponsors participating in the next day's golf tournament: the 4th Annual Justin Turner Classic at Lake Sherwood. This year marked the first time that Justin was actually able to attend his own tournament, and it was definitely one to remember!

The highlight of the evening had to be the live auction, run by Justin himself. In less than an hour, an additional $25k was raised going directly to the JT Foundation and the Dream Center: a charitable organization who’s mission is to connect broken people to a community of support by offering free resources and services that address immediate and long-term needs. For more information on the Justin Turner Foundation and their partnership with the Dream Center, please click here.

Justin also invited a few special guests, fellow Dodgers Cody Bellinger, Kike Hernandez, Corey Seager and Chris Taylor. Watching these talented athletes open up their hearts and wallets for such a good cause was inspiring. Not only to those of us in attendance, but also to the estate’s resident pup Louis. Who also happened to be the evening’s most popular (and un-planned) photo-op.

Monrose Catering is one of the most well-known and popular catering companies in the communities of Thousand Oaks and Malibu. On this particular evening, they indulged guests with delicious tray passed hors d’euvres including coconut shrimp, filet mignon canapes and mini lobster tacos, among other hand-held bites.

For the main course, guests enjoyed a variety of three food stations:

- The Small Bite Beef Station: featuring Niman Ranch boneless beef short ribs, Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, caprese salad and garlic bread

- The Chinese Station: featuring Mandarin orange chicken, crisp vegetable lo mein and fried rice

- The Small Bite Seafood Station: featuring grilled salmon, roasted butternut cous cous and a fresh baby greens and arugula salad

- Dessert: featuring Godiva chocolate brownies, mini crème brulee and warm freshly made brioche donuts that melted into guests' mouths. Probably the biggest hit of the night!

Designed by our amazing partner Jamie Hausch, the vibe of the party was “California Casual.” In keeping with that theme, centerpieces featured an easy, breezy array of delicate off-white roses and ranunculus, and were accented with sprays of eucalyptus and wax flowers

Entertainment included a putting green on property, a live cigar roller, and casino tables including black jack, poker and roulette.

All in all, it was a fantastic evening and we were honored to be a part of it. Thankful for another amazing and happy client!

Starting the Year Off Right: with the 2019 International AACTA Awards

Wow, what a night! For so many reasons, Friday, Jan. 4th 2019 will go down in the books as one of the best times of my career, hands down. Not only was it the first major red carpet event I’ve produced as Founder & Lead Producer at Bianchi Productions, but it was with the best clients anyone could ever ask for…LITERALLY!

Working in the entertainment industry has been a dream of mine since I can remember. And while my career did start there (think Kenneth the Page…for real), through a series of twists and turns, I have landed in the events industry: an amazing space and somewhere I believe I’ve found my true calling.

At the core, what I really love about both of these industries is the story telling aspect and the feelings it evokes. To have my entertainment and events worlds come together in such a marvelous way has been incredible. And even more so because of who I was doing it WITH. But before I get to the #ATEAM, check out this fantastic highlight reel created by Foxtel Australia for broadcast.

Finding a way to put into words how thankful I am for the two smart, powerful, beautiful (I could go on forever) women I’m pictured with below is challenging. They are not just my clients anymore, but empowering teammates that I’m lucky to now call “mates” as well. It’s an Aussie thing :)

In short, not only did they run an amazing 5-Star show from across the world, but they did it with grace and KINDNESS. And you know what…people responded in the same way. Everyone stepped up to the plate, went above and beyond their responsibilities, and pulled off an incredible show. Thank you a million times for bringing me on board this amazing ship of yours ladies, I’m never getting off!! 😊

And of course it wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing venue and partners who helped pull it all together:

First off: The Mondrian Hotel & Director of Special Events Mr. Laurence Whiting – Where to begin? The easiest way I can summarize is this: the man NEVER said “no.” For those of you in the industry, you know how amazing this is, especially coming from a venue. Boy do I know a lot of people who could take a lesson from him in customer service! But besides the impeccable service this hotel and its team have to offer, the simplistic yet sophisticated beauty of the property fit perfectly with the new experience this year’s International AACTA’s were going for. And it was a home run!! Grand slam

Kelly Melo – Thank you for taking the lead as our show caller extraordinaire and allowing us to sleep before the event knowing the program was in the absolute BEST hands! You are a Rockstar and a badass (best combo!) and I’m so proud to call you my friend too. 😊

Nick Hardcastle – Our amazing VOG (Voice of God) and overall fantastic human being. Thank you so much for all that you do (Including acting as my agent – your check is in the mail 😉)! Your talent and spirit are limitless and I’m honored to continue working together in this next exciting chapter! And of course to call you my friend too!!

Red Carpet Systems – There are a few companies I’ve worked with for as long as I can remember in this business, and Red Carpet Systems is one of them. Like many of th/e other partners we work, they do much more then provide a perfect red carpet and step & repeat every time, that’s a “gimme.” Above that, it is their impeccable customer service, flexibility and overall can-do attitude that separates them from the pack. Thank you Mr. Sourice for always making us look good. Cheers to many more!!

DJ Tessa – Talk about VIBEs…this amazing DJ/lady boss definitely sets them right! A fellow entrepreneur, DJ Tessa runs Prism DJs, an agency representing only female DJs. You go girl! Thank you for being part of another amazing event, looking forward to many more.

And to all of the other teams who had a hand in this event, merci beaucoup!!

WOVA (in-house A/V & Lighting), Greenset (10’ hedge walls), Bill Ferrell (statues), Getty Photography, Burnish Creative (content back to Australia)

Also, special thanks to Mary & Darrin for saying YES to my crazy request! And to Kari, Laurence, & Nick for thinking of Bianchi Productions when the opportunity arose. I hate to overuse the word, but it’s the best one to describe how I feel…#GRATEFUL

2018: A Year for the Books!

As 2018 comes to an end, it’s rewarding to look back on the exciting and impactful projects we’ve had the honor of working on. Being in the thick of the day-to-day grind that comes along with any new business, often times we are so focused on what’s ahead, that we don’t take the time to appreciate all that’s been done. And then there are times like New Year’s Eve when we’re forced to look back at the last 365 days and realize all the amazing things that have been accomplished. Both in business and out in the world as humans. There is so much to be grateful for and yet so much we can continue to do.

Thank you so much to our amazing clients and partners for making 2018 an incredible year for Bianchi Productions. We are beyond appreciative for your help in laying down a strong foundation and can’t wait to see where 2019 takes all of us. We’ve got BIG plans for the future!

oh the places you'll go.jpg

Speaking of, perhaps our most exciting collaboration yet will be taking place less than a week from today, the 2019 International AACTA Awards (The Aussie version of the Oscars). Stay tuned for our recap of what is sure to be a phenomenal star-studded evening! And in the meantime, below are just a few highlights of the fun we had in 2018:

Thank you again for your support. We wouldn’t be able to write this blog if it weren’t for all of you!

And now, getting back to tradition. As most of you know, I’m slightly obsessed with music, and lyrics are a big part of that. Words matter.

As we close out 2018, I leave you with my current jam of the week. Not a new song to the world, but to me it was. While I’m pretty sure Andy Grammer wrote “Fresh Eyes” about his significant other, my wish for all of you is that these lyrics ring true with how you feel about YOURSELVES. At least sometimes. It starts from within. <3-MB

Cheers to a wonderful 2019 full of health, happiness and much success! Let’s collaborate!

First Year of Business is in the Books for Bianchi Productions!

First Year of Business is in the Books for Bianchi Productions!

My, what a year it’s been! To be honest, time has really flown so I had to look at our first official Instagram post to pick an anniversary date.  June 20th, 2017 it was. While I knew starting my own business wasn’t going to be easy, I had no idea a year ago how many ups and downs there would be, sometimes even daily. That said, I absolutely LOVE what I do and have no doubt that starting Bianchi Productions was the right decision. I’m extremely optimistic about the future and know this is just the first of many anniversaries our company will be celebrating. Woo hoo!

A New Type of Conference – The “Un-conference”

A New Type of Conference – The “Un-conference”

In the event industry, clients are always looking to do something new and different, or at least put a unique twist on practices that are tried and true. Enter the Un-Conference.

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending one of these in Orange County at The Ranch at Laguna Beach. The event was put on by SITE SoCal in partnership with Haute Dokimazo. SITE stands for Society for Incentive Travel Excellence and its mission is to strengthen and inspire the leaders of this amazing industry. Haute Dokimazo is a new kind of event conference that is fully participant driven. It is run by Corporate Event Marketer.

The day was amazing, and not just because of the gorgeous property we were on.

Rock Your Mojo Women’s Weekend Event Recap

Last weekend I had the honor of managing the Rock Your Mojo Women’s Weekend (RYMWW), led by entrepreneur extraordinaire, Ms. Deborah Kagan. What exactly does that mean you may be asking? Deborah explains the mission like this:
